Break points (debugging)

A break point is something which can be set either in a code editor, or through using Chrome Dev Tools (amongst other methods) and can assist a developer in debugging a piece of software. Code executes top-down, and when it reaches a break point, the code pauses or stops execution awaiting further instructions from the user. This allows developers to step through code and identify which line of code is causing the bug.
